At Mars Wear, we use cookies and similar technologies on our website to improve your experience and understand how our site is used. This policy explains which cookies we use and why, and how you can manage your preferences. The Personal Data Protection Notice also applies to the personal data processed by cookies.

What Is a Cookie?

A cookie is a small text file saved to your browser by the websites you visit. Cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser’s local storage) are widely used to make a site work properly and to collect information about how it is used.

Cookies and Records We Use

• mc-consent (cookie, 180 days): Remembers your choice in the cookie banner. It is required for the site to work and carries no other information.
• _ga and _ga_<id> (Google Analytics cookies, up to 2 years): Measure how the site is used statistically and assign a random ID to your browser. They are only created if you give consent to analytics cookies in the cookie banner; if you do not, they are not written.
• mw_para (browser local storage): Remembers the currency you choose for prices on the English pages (EUR, USD, GBP or TRY). It is only written when you change the currency; it stays on your device and is not sent to us.
• mw_attr (browser tab storage): Holds where you came to the site from (the referring site’s address, campaign tags), the first page you landed on and the last page you viewed before the quote form; it is deleted when you close the tab. It contains no ID, cookie or device information and is only sent with your quote if you submit the quote form.
• Cookieless measurement: Page view counts are kept with Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies or browser storage and does not identify you.

There is no advertising measurement tag on our site; so even if you consent to marketing cookies in the cookie banner, no advertising cookie is written. If one is added in future, it will only run when you consent to that category.

Why Do We Use Cookies?

• To make the site and features such as the cookie preference work properly,
• To remember your preferences (for example, your cookie consent),
• To improve our service by seeing which page and source a quote request came from,
• If you have given consent, to improve content and experience by understanding how the site is visited.

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

Analytics and marketing cookies only run with your consent. You can view, change or withdraw your choice at any time from the cookie preferences panel; the panel shows your current choice as ticked. When you withdraw consent for a category, the tools in that category stop running from then on and the related cookies on our site’s domain (e.g. _ga) are deleted from your device.

If you delete cookies from your browser, your choice is deleted too: the cookie banner appears again on your next visit and analytics cookies do not run until you choose again. Clearing your browser data or blocking local storage also resets your currency choice.
