What matters when for site teams?
Be seen
Reflective tape and fluorescent fabric keep staff visible in traffic and on a busy site.
Against the rain
Waterproof outer fabric and sealed seams; stay dry on open sites and in wet work.
Against the cold
Lined, heat-retaining layers for winter sites and cold stores.

About Construction and Site Workwear
On a construction site, choosing clothing is not a comfort decision but a risk decision. On the same site, the hazards faced by staff working under a crane and staff striking formwork are different, and the clothing differs accordingly.
A site team has three priorities.
Visibility. On every site with vehicle and plant traffic, high-visibility clothing that complies with EN ISO 20471 is used. The class depends on vehicle speed: Class 2 may be enough with slow traffic, while roads and high-speed environments require Class 3. Class 3 needs a surface that wraps around the body — a sleeveless vest on its own can never be Class 3. For night and twilight work, the placement of the reflective tape matters more than the colour itself.
Durability. With contact with concrete, steel and formwork, what finishes clothing off is not washing but abrasion. The knees, seat and pocket openings are the first places to tear; reinforced stitching and ripstop fabric in these areas extend its life noticeably. For teams who work kneeling, trousers with knee pad pockets protect both productivity and, in the long run, joint health.
Weather. A construction site is not an enclosed environment; sun, wind and rain can all come in the same day. Planning layers is more flexible than one heavy jacket: a thermal base layer, a fleece or sweatshirt mid-layer, and a waterproof outer layer. For rainwear, check the second digit of EN 343 as well — rainwear with low breathability keeps the rain out but gets staff wet from the inside.
Protective equipment such as helmets, boots and gloves needs to be planned together with the textiles; for example, a thick cap worn under a safety helmet can narrow the clearance between the head and the shell and lower the level of protection.
Mars Wear manufactures to order at its own production facility in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul, with its own design team. Our minimum order is 100 pieces and our standard lead time is 15 working days; we ship within Türkiye and abroad. To tell subcontractor teams apart, different colour codes and sleeve embroidery can be used within the same order.
