About Boiler Suits and Coveralls
Mars Wear manufactures boiler suits and coveralls at its own production facility in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul, with patterns and logos made for each organisation, from a minimum of 100 pieces; we ship within Türkiye and abroad. Standard lead time is 15 working days.
ONE-PIECE, OR TROUSERS AND A TOP?
The real advantage of a boiler suit is that it leaves no gap at the waist. For staff who bend, reach and work lying on their backs, trousers and a top open up at the waist; dust, swarf, sparks and cold get in there. A boiler suit removes that gap.
In return it has two costs, and both should be known before buying.
The first is operational: a boiler suit takes a long time to put on and take off. For teams with toilet breaks, meal breaks and clean-area changes, this adds up to lost time during the day. When staff experience this, they walk around with the top half tied at the waist — and the full coverage the boiler suit provides is gone.
The second is safety: in an emergency a boiler suit cannot be taken off quickly. With a chemical splash, contact with hot material or a substance on the clothing, every second that passes increases the depth of the injury. In areas with these risks, separate pieces that come off quickly are preferred to a boiler suit.
The simple distinction: if the waist gap is the real problem, a boiler suit; if speed and practicality come first, trousers and a top.
SHORT OR LONG SLEEVES?
Long-sleeved boiler suit — protects the arms too. For oil, grease and paint, chemical splashes, sheet metal handling, all-day work in unshaded areas and the cooler seasons. Cuffed sleeves sit at the wrist and can be rolled up in the hot hours, so it is used as a single product for most of the year.
Short-sleeved boiler suit — the same pattern in lighter gabardine with short sleeves. For indoor production, warehousing and packing, assembly lines, maintenance and cleaning in the warm season.
Short sleeves are not suitable for welding and hot work, chemical splashes or handling sharp materials; sparks and splashes reach the arm directly. If your team is mixed, we plan both models in the same order with the same pattern and colour.
MODELS IN THE CATEGORY
Long-sleeved boiler suit — gabardine, shirt collar, concealed placket, cuffed sleeves, flap chest pockets.
Short-sleeved boiler suit — light gabardine, shirt collar, short sleeves; warm season, indoor and dry areas.
Both models are customised for each organisation: colour, fabric, collar and pocket layout are made to your specification.
SIZE AND FIT
A sizing error causes more trouble in a boiler suit than in trousers: a boiler suit that is too short pulls at the shoulders and prevents crouching, one that is too long catches at the hem. That is why we also collect height measurements for boiler suits; size alone is not enough.
Women's and men's patterns are developed separately. Sizes XS–5XL, larger sizes made to order.
LOGO
On a boiler suit the logo is embroidered or printed on the chest, back and sleeve. On frequently washed gabardine, embroidery is the most durable method.
