What Is a Work Coverall?
A work coverall is workwear that covers the upper and lower body in one piece; on site it is often called overalls or a boiler suit. Because it is one piece, there is no waist gap: when staff bend, crouch or reach under a vehicle, the back does not open and dust, oil and dirt do not reach the body.
A long-sleeved work coverall extends this protection to the arms. This is the classic boiler suit: the one-piece garment worn in workshops, factories and service areas for most of the year, protecting arms, body and legs together.
At Mars Wear we make the long-sleeved work coverall at our own facility in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul, with our own design team, in a colour, pattern and logo specific to your organisation, from a minimum of 100 pieces; standard delivery is 15 working days, shipping within Türkiye and abroad.
Why Long Sleeves?
Long sleeves bring back the layer of protection that short sleeves remove. They are preferred for:
- Oil, grease and paint — car servicing, maintenance and painting, where the arms get dirtiest
- Chemical and liquid splashes — splashes that reach the arms in cleaning and production
- Scratches and abrasion — handling sheet metal, metal and sharp materials
- Sun — working all day in unshaded areas; reduces the risk of sunburn on the arms
- Cooler seasons — the days in autumn, winter and spring when short sleeves are too cold
The cuffs sit at the wrist; in the hot hours the sleeves can be rolled up. That is why a long-sleeved coverall is worn as a single garment for most of the year.
A Note on Welding and Hot Work
Short sleeves are never suitable for welding and hot work; sparks land directly on the arms. Long sleeves are the right starting point, but not enough on their own: if certified protection is required for welder's overalls (EN ISO 11611, EN ISO 11612), production in flame-retardant fabric is needed. If your specification includes this kind of protection, say so at the start of the project; the fabric is chosen accordingly.
Short or Long Sleeves?
- Long-sleeved work coverall (this product) — also protects the arms; all year round, for dirty work and work with contact risk.
- Short-sleeved work coverall — the same pattern with short sleeves and a lighter fabric; for indoor work in summer.
If your team is mixed, we plan short-sleeved and long-sleeved coveralls in the same order — because the pattern and colour stay the same, there is no extra cost. In winter, a layering system is built by adding a thermal base layer under the coverall and a branded padded gilet on top.
Which Teams Is It For?
- Factories and production — production lines, maintenance and shift teams. See factory and production workwear
- Car servicing and garages — under-vehicle and engine work; as mechanic's overalls
- Painting and refurbishment — as painter's overalls; covers body and arms together
- Maintenance and technical service — in-house and in the field
- Warehousing and logistics — dusty areas and loading work
- Farming, livestock and landscaping — protection from sun and dirt outdoors
Product and Logo Customisation
This coverall can be customised for your company in the product itself, not only with a logo. Colour and colour blocking, fabric, collar type and pocket layout are agreed at the start of the order to suit your team's work; the model pictured is a starting point.
The logo is optional, and both embroidery and printing can be applied. Gabardine carries embroidery well; embroidery does not fade in the wash and looks corporate. For multi-colour or large logos, transfer / DTF printing is preferred.
- Left chest — the standard logo position; above the pocket flap or on the pocket
- Back — a wide area for a company name or large logo
- Sleeve — for a department or unit name
Our own design team prepares the model, colour and logo placement on a digital mock-up and sends it for your approval before production. For a comparison of methods, see our logo printing and embroidery methods guide.
Colours
The images show anthracite and navy models. Anthracite shows oil and dust the least; a navy coverall is the most common choice for corporate teams. Production in your corporate colour is possible; for custom colours, quantity and lead time are planned separately.
Work Coverall Prices
The price of a long-sleeved work coverall cannot be given from a single list; fabric, colour, logo method (embroidery or print), number of logo positions and quantity are calculated together. The unit cost falls as quantity rises.
Enter your quantity in the calculator on this page to see the average unit price from 100 pieces, and request a net price for your organisation with the "Request a quote for this product" button on the same screen. In bulk coverall orders, colours and sizes can be split freely within the 100 pieces. The price structure is explained on our bulk logo workwear production from 100 pieces page.
Ordering and Sizing
A sizing mistake causes more problems in a coverall than in trousers: a coverall that is too short pulls at the shoulders and prevents crouching; one that is too long catches at the hem. On the long-sleeved model, sleeve length matters too; a sleeve that is too short leaves the wrist exposed when reaching. That is why we also collect height measurements — size alone is not enough. For taking measurements, see our workwear size chart page.
Women's and men's patterns are developed separately. Size range XS–5XL, with larger special sizes.
The process: needs discussion → fabric and cut decision → physical sample → logo approval → production (15 working days) → shipping within Türkiye and abroad. Our minimum order is 100.
Frequently Ordered Together
- Short-Sleeved Work Coverall — for the same team in summer
- Thermal Base Layer — the first layer under the coverall in winter
- Branded Padded Gilet — a layer over the coverall in winter that leaves the arms free
- Reflective Hi-Vis Vest — for visibility on jobs close to vehicle traffic
All options are in the work coveralls category.
Care
- Wash at 40 °C, inside out, with the front fastening and pockets closed.
- Pre-treat oil and paint stains before washing.
- Empty the pockets; with many pockets on a coverall, forgotten items often turn up.
- Do not iron directly over embroidered or printed areas; iron from the reverse side at a low temperature.
For details, see our workwear care instructions page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which jobs is a long-sleeved work coverall suitable for?
Jobs where the arms get dirty or face contact risk: car servicing, maintenance, painting, production and warehousing. It is also worn as a single garment in cooler seasons.
Can it be used as welder's overalls?
Long sleeves are the right starting point for welding, but if certified flame and spark protection (EN ISO 11611) is required, production in flame-retardant fabric is needed. If your specification has such a condition, say so at the start of the project.
Can the product be customised for our company?
Yes. Colour, fabric, collar type and pocket layout are set for your company; a logo can also be added as an option.
Can the logo be embroidered?
Yes. The logo is optional and can be embroidered or printed. Gabardine carries embroidery well; printing is preferred for large, multi-colour logos.
Which colours do you make?
The images show anthracite and navy models; production in your corporate colour is also possible.
Can short-sleeved and long-sleeved coveralls be ordered together?
Yes. Because the pattern and colour stay the same, a mixed order adds no extra cost.
What should we collect for sizing?
Size and height together. A height mistake in a coverall directly restricts crouching and reaching; on long sleeves, sleeve length depends on it too.
What is your minimum order?
100 pieces. Colours and sizes can be split within that quantity.
