What Is a Branded Padded Gilet?

A padded gilet is a sleeveless winter gilet made by quilting a layer of padding between two layers of fabric. The padding traps body heat, while the open arms let staff move freely when carrying, using tools or climbing stairs. In corporate orders it is known as a padded work gilet, a quilted gilet, a puffer gilet or a body warmer.

This model is a thick, warm gilet that is worn on its own as the outer layer in cold weather. A branded padded gilet is the same product made to order for your organisation, with your logo, your corporate colours and the options you need — fleece lining and reflective tape.

At Mars Wear we do not sell this gilet from stock; every order is made for your company from 100 pieces. Colour, lining, reflective tape and logo are decided with you at the start of the order.

Options for Your Company

In corporate orders the same gilet is shaped by four decisions, each chosen for the conditions your team works in.

  • Lining: fleece or none — fleece-lined for teams that spend long hours outdoors, unlined for work that moves between indoors and outdoors.
  • Visibility: reflective or not — a reflective band across the chest for sites with vehicle traffic, no tape for office and store staff.
  • Colour and lining colour — the body in your corporate colour; on the fleece-lined model the lining colour is chosen too. On the royal blue gilet pictured, the yellow fleece lining shows the brand colours at the collar and armholes.
  • Logo — a left-chest logo is standard; a company name, department or role can be added on the back.

Different options can be planned within the same order: for example, reflective and fleece-lined for the field team, non-reflective and unlined for management and office staff.

Fleece-Lined or Unlined?

A fleece-lined padded gilet is warmer. The fleece lining adds a second layer to the warmth held by the padding and feels soft inside. It is recommended for work where staff stay outdoors or stand still for long periods: open building sites, loading docks, around cold stores, car parks and security booths.

An unlined padded gilet is lighter. For mobile teams who go in and out during the day, it keeps them warm without overheating, and it fits more easily under a jacket or light coat. It suits store, service, technical field and office teams.

A practical rule: if the team stays outdoors for hours, choose fleece-lined; if they keep going in and out, choose unlined.

Reflective or Non-Reflective?

Reflective tape makes staff easier to see at dusk and in vehicle headlights. The reflective model is preferred for work with forklift traffic inside warehouses, car parks, roadsides and night shifts.

To be clear: adding reflective tape does not on its own make the gilet a certified high-visibility garment. EN ISO 20471 classification requires a set area of fluorescent background fabric as well as reflective tape; a navy, black or royal blue padded gilet does not meet that requirement. If regulations or a specification call for certified visibility, we recommend wearing a reflective safety vest over the padded gilet. For details of the classes, see our EN ISO 20471 reflective classes guide.

Which Teams Is It For?

Factories and production — semi-open workshops, dispatch areas and lines that move between indoors and outdoors. Maintenance and shift teams often prefer it to a jacket with sleeves. See factory and production workwear.

Logistics, warehouses and couriers — open loading docks and the areas around cold stores; the reflective, fleece-lined model is the most common choice for these teams. See logistics and warehouse workwear.

Construction and building sites — under a jacket or on its own; with a safety vest over it if visibility is required. See construction and site workwear.

Private security and car parks — the fleece-lined model for posts where staff stand still for long periods. See security uniforms.

Supermarkets, retail and service — non-reflective, in your corporate colour, over a polo shirt. See supermarket and grocery uniforms.

Municipal, landscaping and technical field teams — the reflective option for mobile teams working outdoors.

Logo Application

A left-chest logo is standard; a company name or role wording can be applied large on the back. On the outer fabric of a padded gilet, logos are usually applied by transfer / DTF printing, which gives a sharp result with multi-colour logos. If embroidery is wanted, the position and method are agreed before the sample so that the padding is not compressed. Our own design team aligns the logo placement with the quilted channels and sends a digital mock-up for your approval before production. For a comparison of methods, see our logo printing and embroidery methods guide.

Winter Work Gilet Prices

The price of a branded padded gilet cannot be given from a single list; lining (fleece / none), reflective tape, colour, logo method, number of logo positions and quantity are calculated together. The fleece-lined, reflective model uses more material and labour than the unlined, non-reflective one. The unit cost falls as quantity rises.

Enter your quantity in the calculator on this page to see the average unit price from 100 pieces, and request a net price for your organisation with the "Request a quote for this product" button on the same screen. For bulk padded gilet orders, we price the options separately for each team. Minimum order and price structure: bulk logo workwear production from 100 pieces.

Ordering Process

  1. Quote — fill in the quote form or message us on WhatsApp with the quantity, lining, reflective tape, colour and logo details.
  2. Design approval — our design team prepares the colour, lining and logo placement on a digital mock-up.
  3. Sample — a physical sample is sent on request.
  4. Production — in our own facility; standard lead time 15 working days.
  5. Shipping — within Türkiye and abroad; boxes can be split by size and branch.

To be ready for the winter season, we recommend confirming the order before the cold sets in.

Care

Wash the padded gilet at 30 °C on a gentle cycle with the zip closed. Do not use fabric softener; it reduces the loft of the padding and the brightness of the reflective tape. Do not use bleach. Shaking the gilet gently after drying helps spread the padding evenly across the channels. Do not iron over the logo or reflective tape. Details: workwear care instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is a thick, warm padded gilet, worn on its own as the outer layer in cold weather. Made without fleece lining, it is lighter.

Do you make fleece-lined padded gilets?

Yes. The gilet can be made fleece-lined or unlined, and the colour of the fleece lining is chosen for your company.

Where is the logo applied?

A left-chest logo is standard; a company name, department or role can be added on the back.

Can one order include different versions?

Yes. Reflective, fleece-lined gilets for the field team and non-reflective, unlined ones for office staff can be planned within the same order.

What is the lead time?

The standard lead time is 15 working days after design approval. Production takes place in our own facility in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul.
