What Is a Branded Puffer Jacket?

A puffer jacket is a sleeved jacket made by quilting a layer of fill between two layers of fabric; it is also known as a quilted or padded jacket. Because the stitching divides the fill into channels, it spreads evenly across the body and sleeves and holds body heat. In corporate winter clothing it is worn as a work jacket.

A branded puffer jacket is the same product made for your organisation with your company logo, your corporate colour and a fill level chosen for your team. At Mars Wear we do not sell this jacket from stock; every order starts from a minimum of 100 pieces and is made at our own facility in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul.

What Is a Lightweight Padded Jacket For?

This product meets an in-between need often seen in corporate winter clothing: the days when a jacket is needed but a thick jacket is too much.

Across most of Türkiye, a large part of winter falls in this band. Mornings are cool, midday warms up; during the day staff get into vehicles, go indoors and come back out again. With this rhythm a thick winter jacket is constantly taken off and put back on, and often stays on the car seat. A lightweight quilted jacket, on the other hand, stays on — because it neither makes you sweat nor adds bulk.

The second decisive feature is appearance. Regular quilting and a stand collar give a flatter, more corporate silhouette than the sporty bulk of a thick puffer. That is why it is preferred by staff who make customer visits, attend meetings or work inside stores.

The third is volume: the jacket stays compact when folded. It takes up no space in a glovebox, a bag or a locker — a practical advantage for field teams with many vehicles.

Padded Gilet, Lightweight Quilted Jacket or Winter Jacket?

Three products that share the same fill logic answer three different needs:

  • Padded work gilet or the branded padded gilet with a fleece-lined option — sleeveless. Warms the body and leaves arm movement completely free. For workshop and assembly work, or as a mid layer under a jacket.
  • Lightweight quilted padded work jacket (this product) — sleeved and light. Enough on its own on cool to mild winter days; the padded option with the most corporate look.
  • Winter work jacket — more fill and a more enveloping cut. For teams who stay outdoors for long periods.

The rule is simple: are staff outdoors all day, or in and out? If they are outdoors all the time, a winter jacket; if they go in and out, the lightweight quilted jacket. If arm movement is critical, the vest. For season planning, see our season changeover plan guide.

Who Wears It?

Field sales and customer representatives — teams making many visits by car during the day; here a jacket that looks corporate and comes off quickly is decisive.

Managers and field inspection staff — roles moving between the office and the field.

Retail and store management — frequent transitions between the store and outdoor areas; warehouse and car park movements.

Logistics and operations supervisors — staff moving along warehouse, road and customer routes.

Event and organisation teams — winter programmes that combine indoor and outdoor venues.

Corporate gifts and executive sets — preferred in end-of-year gift packages because of its compact, corporate look; our corporate gifts and workwear strategy article guides you on this.

Synthetic Fill, Not Down

No down is used in this product. In corporate use, synthetic fill has two concrete advantages.

The first is how it behaves when wet: down clumps when wet and loses most of its insulation, while synthetic fill keeps a large part of its insulation even when wet and dries much faster. For staff caught in the rain on site, this difference decides whether the jacket still works in the afternoon.

The second is care: synthetic fill stands up to normal machine washing. In a team of a hundred, clothing that needs no special care matters as much as durability in practice.

Colours

The model pictured is black. A black puffer jacket shows the least dirt and is the background on which a white or single-colour logo reads most clearly. Navy, anthracite and stone grey are also made; for production in your corporate colour, quantity and lead time are planned separately.

Logo Application

The ripstop outer is not embroidered — needle holes both break the water repellency and can start tears in thin fabric. On this product, transfer print, screen printing or DTF is used.

The quilted channels decide logo placement: the print is positioned on the flat area between the stitch lines; a print that runs over a channel cracks over time. The standard position is the left chest, with the back used for larger applications. For a comparison of methods, see our logo printing and embroidery methods guide.

Custom Design and Production

We produce the jacket for your company in terms of colour, quilting channel spacing, fill level and logo placement. Our own design team works out the colour choice in line with your corporate identity and prepares a digital placement visual before the sample.

Production takes place at our own facility in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul; we ship within Türkiye and abroad. For details, see our custom uniform design page.

Care

Wash at 30 °C on a delicate cycle. Do not use fabric softener or bleach — softener damages both the water repellency and the fill's loft. Spin at a low speed and hang to dry.

With padded products, shaking lightly after drying helps the fill spread evenly within the channels. The ripstop surface is not ironed. Water repellency weakens over time and can be refreshed with a DWR spray. For details, see our workwear care instructions page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it contain down?

No. Synthetic polyester fill is used; it does not collapse when wet and can be machine washed.

Does it replace a rain jacket?

No. The water-repellent surface handles drizzle but gets wet in constant rain. If rain is the main risk, the waterproof reflective work jacket is more suitable; if both rain and winter are needed, the work coat and parka, with its waterproof outer fabric and padded lining.

Does the fill shift in the wash?

The quilting stitches hold the fill within the channels; washed correctly, there is no noticeable shifting. A light shake after drying evens out the distribution. The most common causes of fill clumping are high-speed spinning and tumble drying.

Does it replace a thick winter jacket?

No — and that is not its aim. This product is designed for cool to mild winter days and work with indoor–outdoor transitions. Teams who stay outdoors for long periods need a winter jacket or a parka.

What is the minimum order?

100 pieces, and this quantity is per product line, not per size.

Do you ship abroad?

Yes. Production takes place at our own facility in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul; we ship within Türkiye and abroad.
