What Is a Printed Fleece Jacket (Work Fleece)?

A printed fleece jacket is a fleece top with the company logo embroidered or printed on it; on site it is simply called a work fleece. This model is the zipped version with pockets and a stand collar. It is thicker than a sweatshirt and lighter than a winter jacket, which is why it is the default top layer from November to March for most teams. The trapped-air, brushed structure of the fleece keeps body heat in, and thanks to the full-length zip it comes off in seconds when staff go indoors.

Companies that ask for this product usually want two things together: staff who don't get cold, and a team that looks corporate from the outside. A fleece jacket delivers both — its smooth, even surface shows embroidery sharply, and the wide back area is a ready canvas for a company name or department lettering.

At Mars Wear, this item in the fleece workwear group is made to order from 100 pieces. Fabric weight, colour, logo method and application area are set per order; we do not sell retail from ready stock.

The Zipped Chest Pocket and Logo Placement

The distinctive detail of this model is the vertical zipped pocket on the left chest. On site, keeping a phone and access card from falling out when bending is, for most companies, a more critical need than side pockets.

This pocket's zip is taken into account when planning the logo placement: the standard left chest embroidery is positioned to the left of the zip line and above the pocket opening. If a larger emblem is wanted, the right chest or back is recommended. Our design team prepares a digital placement visual before the sample; production approval is given on this visual.

Which Sectors Choose It?

Factories and production facilities — semi-open workshops, raw material transfer areas and production lines that move between inside and outside. The winter standard for shift supervisors, quality control and maintenance teams. For details, see our factory and production workwear page.

Logistics, warehousing and parcel services — open loading bays, dispatch areas and around cold stores. Having no hood is a clear advantage when worn with a hard hat, radio and hi-vis vest. You can browse our logistics and warehouse workwear category.

Technical service and field engineering — appliance servicing, HVAC, telecoms and energy field teams. Left chest embroidery with the company name on the back is the most common combination in this group.

Landscaping, municipal and outdoor operations — khaki, dark green and anthracite are the most popular colours.

Construction sites and road maintenance — in these teams the fleece jacket is worn under a hi-vis vest; the visibility requirement is met by the vest. We explained the layering plan in our construction site workwear guide.

Private security and car parks — black, navy and anthracite; the company name or job lettering is applied to the back.

Promotions, events and corporate gifts — promotional fleeces are one of the most requested items for dealer meetings, trade fair teams and end-of-year staff gifts. An embroidered fleece on a single-colour body looks more lasting and more premium than a print in a gift pack. Our corporate gifts and workwear strategy article shows the way on this.

Fleece Work Jacket, Winter Jacket or Gilet?

  • Fleece work jacket — light, with high freedom of movement; for mild winters and work that moves between inside and outside. It does not protect against rain or strong wind.
  • Winter work jacket — a water-repellent outer and padded lining; for teams who stay outdoors for long periods.
  • Fleece work gilet — the same fabric in a sleeveless cut; for workshop and assembly work where arm movement is critical.
  • Crew-neck sweatshirt — under the fleece jacket, or on its own in the mid-season.

The practical rule: if the temperature is above freezing and the work is active, a fleece jacket; if there is getting wet, strong wind or long periods standing still, a winter jacket.

Fabric and Weight

Our standard production is 280 g/m² anti-pilling fleece; for colder sites a 320 g/m² option is offered. The anti-pilling finish delays fleece's best-known problem — the balls of fibre that form at friction points; as long as fabric softener is not used, the surface stays smooth for a long time.

The weight is chosen according to the working environment: 280 g/m² for indoor work and work that moves in and out, 320 g/m² for long shifts outdoors. For a comparison, see our workwear fabric weight guide and workwear fabric guide pages.

Colour Options

The product images show navy, red, anthracite and royal blue models. Black and grey are also among our standard colours; khaki and dark green are common with landscaping and municipal teams. For orders that need an exact match to the corporate identity, custom colours are produced to a Pantone reference; for such orders, the quantity and lead time are planned separately.

When choosing a colour, the dirt profile also needs to be considered: light grey shades show dust and oil stains, while dark shades stay looking clean on site for longer.

Reflective Add-On

On request, reflective tape can be applied around the sleeves and chest; this is a practical addition that increases visibility at dusk and amid in-warehouse vehicle traffic. Let us state clearly that this is not a visibility certificate: the EN ISO 20471 classification requires, alongside reflective tape, a set area of fluorescent background material; a dark-coloured fleece does not meet this condition. If certified visibility is needed, we recommend wearing a reflective hi-vis safety vest over the fleece jacket.

Fleece Printing and Embroidery Methods

When having a logo fleece made, the most durable method on a fleece surface is embroidery; the brushed structure of the fabric grips the thread, it does not fade with washing and it leaves a corporate finish. Embroidered fleece is the most popular application for corporate gifts and management teams.

For multi-colour or gradient logos on fleece, transfer / DTF print is used. For high-quantity single-colour back lettering, screen printing brings the unit cost down. In the great majority of printed fleece orders, the preferred layout is left chest embroidery applied together with a back print. For a comparison of methods, see our logo printing and embroidery methods guide.

Size and Cut

XS – 5XL is the standard range; larger sizes are made on a custom pattern. The fleece jacket is cut slightly generously around the chest so that a sweatshirt or polo shirt can go underneath. For corporate orders we recommend taking measurements rather than guessing the size breakdown; you can use the workwear size chart page for the breakdown.

Custom Design and Production

We treat the fleece jacket not as a ready-made product picked from a catalogue but as an item designed around the company's identity. Our own design team works out the colour combination, binding and zip detail, logo placement and, where needed, department-based colour distinctions in line with your corporate identity.

Production takes place at our own facility in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul. Because pattern, cutting, sewing and logo application are under one roof, the revision and quality control process is short. We ship within Türkiye and abroad; for multi-location companies, boxes can be split by size and branch and distributed directly.

For more on the process, see our custom uniform design page.

Printed Fleece Prices and Order Quantity

The price of a printed fleece cannot be given from a single list; the weight (280 / 320 g/m²), colour, logo method, number of application areas and quantity are calculated together. As the quantity rises, the unit cost falls, because pattern and print set-up costs are spread over more pieces.

You can see the current unit price by entering your quantity in the calculator on this page and request a quote with the “Request a quote for this product” button on the same screen. For bulk fleece jackets and multi-item seasonal orders, we work out an annual framework price. For budget planning, see our workwear prices and cost guide article.

The same production structure applies to promotional and branded fleeces ordered for trade fairs, dealer meetings and end-of-year gifts: minimum 100 pieces, a custom colour and logo, and a standard lead time of 15 working days. To be ready for the event, we recommend confirming the order at least 15 working days before the event date.

The minimum order is 100. This threshold is there so that pattern and print set-up settle at a sensible unit cost; we explain the structure in detail on the bulk logo workwear production from 100 pieces page.

How to Order Printed Fleeces

  1. Quote — fill in the quote form or message us on WhatsApp; a price is worked out from the quantity, colour and logo details.
  2. Sample — a physical sample is sent if requested.
  3. Design approval — our design team prepares the logo placement on a digital visual; production starts with your approval.
  4. Production and quality control — carried out at our own facility; standard lead time 15 working days.
  5. Shipping — within Türkiye and abroad; distribution to multiple locations is possible.

Care

The fleece jacket is washed at 30 °C, inside out. Fabric softener should not be used — it flattens the fleece fibres, reduces the fabric's ability to trap air and breathe, and speeds up pilling. Do not use bleach. Drying in the shade is recommended rather than a tumble dryer; do not iron directly over embroidery or print. For details, see our workwear care instructions page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this model have a hood?

No. It is a hoodless model with a stand collar. Because a hood causes problems on most sites when worn with a hard hat, helmet and hi-vis vest, this cut is preferred.

In what weather is a fleece work jacket enough?

It is enough on its own in dry weather and at temperatures above freezing. In rain, snow and strong wind, a water-repellent outer layer is needed; in that case the fleece jacket is used as an under layer, or a winter work jacket is chosen.

What is the minimum order for printed fleeces?

100 pieces. The colour and size mix can be arranged freely within this quantity.

Should the logo be embroidered or printed?

On a fleece surface, embroidery is more durable and looks more corporate; embroidery is our standard choice for left chest logos. Print is used for multi-colour logos and large back applications.

Do you produce in corporate (Pantone) colours?

Yes. For orders that need an exact match to the corporate identity, we produce custom colours to a Pantone reference; for such orders, the quantity and lead time are planned separately.

Do you ship abroad?

Yes. Production takes place at our own facility in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul; we ship within Türkiye and abroad.

How big can the back print be?

The fleece jacket is one of the products with the widest area for a back application; a company name, department code or job title can be applied at a large size. The exact size is confirmed at the sample stage according to size and design.

Can different colours and departments be distinguished in one order?

Yes. A different body colour or different back lettering per department can be planned within the same order; boxes are sent split by size and location.
