What Is a Reflective Polo Shirt?

A reflective polo shirt is a work polo with light-returning tape on the body. When vehicle headlights, a torch or a floodlight hit the tape, the light is sent back towards its source, so staff can be seen from much further away in the dark and at dusk.

This model is the reflective version of our polo collar work t-shirt. It keeps the same 100% cotton piqué fabric, the same stand-up polo collar and buttoned placket, and adds two horizontal reflective bands across the chest and two vertical bands over the shoulders. The result looks like a corporate polo shirt and still keeps staff visible on site.

At Mars Wear we make the reflective polo shirt in our own production facility in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul, with our own design team, in your colour and with your logo, from 100 pieces; standard lead time is 15 working days, and we ship within Türkiye and abroad.

Colours: Fluorescent or Navy?

  • Fluorescent yellow — the colour that stands out most in daylight. For teams working by the roadside, on construction sites, in car parks and near vehicle traffic. The navy collar and hem panel hide dirt better.
  • Navy — corporate and understated. In daylight it looks like an ordinary polo shirt; in the dark the bands light up. For warehouse, service, security and technical teams.

A fluorescent colour gives visibility by day and reflective tape gives visibility at night; they do different jobs. If your team works near traffic both day and night, choose a fluorescent model; if they work mostly indoors or in well-lit areas, navy is the right choice. We can also produce in your corporate colour; custom-colour orders are planned separately for quantity and lead time.

Why Cotton Piqué?

Most reflective workwear is made from polyester. Polyester holds sweat against the skin, which is the most common complaint about a t-shirt worn all day in summer. 100% cotton piqué:

  • Breathes — the small openings in the piqué knit let air through
  • Feels comfortable — more comfortable than polyester in hot weather and on long shifts
  • Looks corporate — the polo collar and piqué texture look neater than a plain t-shirt

One thing to know in return: pure cotton shrinks a little in the wash, and fluorescent colours fade gradually with sunlight and frequent washing. We plan sizes with this in mind and send care advice with the order.

About Visibility Certification

This product is not an EN ISO 20471 certified high-visibility garment; it is a reflective work polo that improves visibility. If your specification requires a certified high-visibility class, tell us at the start of the project; we then plan production with certified fabric and tape, or a reflective hi-vis vest over the polo. We explain what the classes mean in our EN ISO 20471 reflective classes guide.

Who Uses It?

  • Construction and sites — teams working around plant and vehicle traffic; construction and site workwear
  • Logistics, warehouse and courier — forklift traffic, ramps and loading bays; logistics and warehouse workwear
  • Factories and production sites — internal vehicle routes, outdoor areas and night shifts; factory and production workwear
  • Councils, utilities and road maintenance — teams working by the roadside
  • Car parks, fuel stations and service — staff who work among vehicles
  • Events and organisations — stewards who must be easy to spot in a crowd

Logo: Embroidery and Print

  • Left chest — embroidery for the company logo. The piqué knit holds the thread well, so embroidery stays clean and lasting.
  • Back — company name or role text; print for wide text, embroidery for short text.

The logo must not sit on the reflective tape; embroidery or print on the tape covers the reflective surface. Our design team places your logo in the space between the bands and sends you a digital visual for approval before production. For a comparison of methods, see our embroidery or print guide.

Reflective Polo Shirt Prices

The price on this page is the average unit price for 100 plain pieces, excluding VAT. Logo application is priced per position and added to the plain unit price: a front-chest logo adds about 6%, a back logo about 7% for an order of 100 pieces. For large or multi-colour logos, the price is confirmed in the quote.

The unit cost falls as quantity rises; enter your quantity in the calculator on this page to see the average unit price, and request a net price for your company with the "Request a quote for this product" button. Colours and sizes can be split freely within the 100 pieces — for example fluorescent yellow for the site team and navy for the warehouse team. Pricing is explained in detail on our minimum 100 pieces bulk logo workwear production page.

  • Do not use bleach or stain remover; they damage the reflective surface of the tape.
  • Do not tumble dry or dry in direct sunlight.
  • Do not iron over the tape or the logo; iron on the reverse at low heat.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a reflective polo shirt look at night?

The reflective tape returns light towards its source. Lit by headlights or a torch, the bands appear bright white and staff can be seen from much further away in the dark.

Should we choose fluorescent or navy?

Fluorescent yellow for teams working near traffic in daylight; navy for teams who need a more corporate look and work mostly indoors or in well-lit areas.

Is the product EN ISO 20471 certified?

No. It is a reflective work polo that improves visibility. If a certified class is required in your specification, tell us at the start; we plan production with certified fabric and tape, or a hi-vis vest on top.

Does the reflective tape come off in the wash?

The tape is permanently applied to the body. Washed inside out at a low temperature and without bleach, it keeps its reflectivity for a long time.

Is the logo included in the price?

No. The price shown is the average unit price for 100 plain pieces. A front-chest logo adds about 6% and a back logo about 7%, excluding VAT; for large or multi-colour logos, the price is confirmed in the quote.

Do you have a crew neck model?

Yes. For teams who prefer a more relaxed cut than a polo, the reflective crew neck work t-shirt is made as a separate model.

What is your minimum order and lead time?

The minimum order is 100 pieces. After design approval, the standard lead time is 15 working days; production takes place in our own facility in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul, and we ship within Türkiye and abroad.
