Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose between S5 wellingtons and S3 boots?
Dry sites and normal rain → S3 boots (in the safety shoes, boots and wellingtons category). Standing water, mud and constantly wet conditions → S5 wellingtons.
What is the chemical resistance?
Natural rubber is sufficient for light acids and alkalis. For heavy chemical exposure, PU or a dedicated chemical-resistant model is needed.
Steel or composite toe cap?
Steel as standard. Composite on request for metal detectors or cold environments.
Are they HACCP compliant for abattoirs?
The white version is made with HACCP-compliant rubber. This version is preferred for meat processing plants.
Is there a thermally lined version?
A thermally lined S5 for cold stores (−25 °C) is produced on request.
