Where the Summer Suede Model Fits

Bimes's best-selling model, the 1453, is a summer suede S1 shoe. Suede has two advantages on a summer site: lightness and breathability. Feet sweat noticeably less than in a closed leather model.

In return it brings two limits that should be known before buying:

• It is not suitable for water and mud. Suede absorbs water when wet and hardens as it dries. Wet ground needs S2 or S3.
• It is exposed to chemical and oil splashes. A suede surface holds stains and is hard to clean.

If your team works indoors or in dry outdoor areas in summer, summer suede is the right choice; not in wet or oily environments.

Safety Classes

• S1 — toe protection (200 J) + antistatic + heel energy absorption + closed heel
• S1P — S1 + penetration resistance, metal midsole (P, tested with a 4.5 mm nail)
• S1PL — S1 + penetration resistance, non-metal midsole
• S2 — S1 + water absorption resistance of the upper
• S3 — S1P + water resistance + cleated outsole

Bimes's centre of gravity is the S1 band. Sites with a puncture risk (nails, wire, metal swarf) need S1P, wet ground needs S2/S3 — in that case we point you to Mekap or YDS models.

The most common reason for returns in corporate footwear orders is the wrong size:

• Size range 35–48; larger sizes supplied on request.
• For staff who are unsure, we send a sample pair first.
• A mixed size breakdown is covered in a single batch.

Care

• Do not use water or detergent on suede models; use a suede brush and suede spray.
• Do not dry wet suede next to a heat source; the upper hardens.
• Do not machine wash leather models; wipe with a damp cloth and apply a care cream.
• Clear stones and gravel stuck in the sole profile — they directly reduce slip resistance.

Are they genuine products? Yes. We supply genuine, invoiced products from the brands we are an authorised dealer for.

Can the suede model be used on a construction site? We do not recommend it. Summer suede S1 models are not suitable for mud and water; construction sites need S3.

Is there an anti-perforation sole? The S1P version includes penetration resistance. On sites with a nail and wire risk, S1P or S3 should be chosen.
