YDS is a Turkish manufacturer known for tactical and outdoor boots as well as safety footwear. We supply organisations in bulk from 100 pairs, collect the size breakdown on your behalf and ship separately to multiple sites.

Our difference from retail is as much in the process as in the price: instead of ordering sizes one by one, your team's foot sizes are collected, the shoes arrive in a single batch and are distributed to your branches.

The Two Model Groups That Set YDS Apart

Beyond the standard S1/S3 models everyone sells, YDS has two groups that make a real difference on site:

Foundry shoes (HM range). In foundry, hot metal and welding work, molten metal splashing onto the shoe gets in through the lace holes of a normal laced shoe. That is why the foundry model is made with quick-release fastening and a flap-covered upper — in a panic, the shoe can be taken off within seconds. If you have foundry and forging plants, this model should be discussed instead of a standard S3.

Policap toe models (PL / PLSP range). They use a composite toe cap and a non-metal midsole instead of metal. There are three practical results: they do not trigger metal detectors, they do not draw heat in the cold as metal does, and the shoe is noticeably lighter. A reason to choose them at airports, security-controlled facilities and in electrical work.

Choose the Right Safety Class

The class is decided before the model. The EN ISO 20345 classes:

• SB — toe protection resistant to a 200 J impact and 15 kN compression
• S1 — SB + antistatic + heel energy absorption + closed heel
• S1P — S1 + penetration resistance, metal midsole (P, tested with a 4.5 mm nail)
• S1PL — S1 + penetration resistance, non-metal midsole (PL, 4.5 mm nail)
• S2 — S1 + water absorption resistance of the upper
• S3 — S1P + water resistance + cleated outsole

The 2022 revision of the standard split penetration resistance: P a metal midsole, PL non-metal (4.5 mm nail), and PS a non-metal midsole tested with a thinner 3.0 mm nail. On sites with a high risk of thin nails and wire, look for PS — most suppliers still do not make this distinction.

A practical match:

• S1 / S1P — inside factories, warehouses, assembly lines, technical service
• S2 — kitchens, food production, wet floors
• S3 — construction sites, outdoors, muddy ground with a puncture risk
• Boot (ankle-height) models — uneven ground, risk of sprains, mud

Shoe or Boot?

Organisations often make this decision based on price; yet what decides it is the ground. An ankle boot reduces sprains on uneven, loose ground and stops material getting in at the trouser hem. On the other hand, it makes feet sweat more in the heat and takes longer to put on and take off.

A simple rule: if your team works on level, stable ground, shoes; if they work on excavations, rubble, mud or slopes, boots.

The Real Problem in Bulk Orders: Sizing

The most common reason for returns in corporate footwear orders is not price or quality but the wrong size:

• Before ordering, we collect the team's shoe sizes through a form.
• Size range 35–48; larger sizes supplied on request.
• For staff who are unsure, we send a sample pair first.
• A mixed breakdown (for example 30 pairs of 42, 25 pairs of 43, 20 pairs of 41) is covered in a single batch.

1. Needs discussion — team size, working environment, required safety class.
2. Model recommendation — class and shoe/boot matching, price quote.
3. Sample — a sample pair for models you are unsure about.
4. Size collection — the team's sizes are collected through a form.
5. Supply — genuine products, invoiced.
6. Shipping — within Türkiye and abroad, delivered separately to multiple sites.

Our minimum order is 100 pairs.

Care

• Do not machine wash leather models; remove mud first with a soft brush, then with a damp cloth.
• On suede models, use a suede brush and suede spray, not water.
• Take out the insole periodically to air it.
• Clear stones and gravel stuck in the sole profile — they directly reduce slip resistance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are they genuine products? Yes. We supply genuine, invoiced products from the brands we are an authorised dealer for.

Why are the prices lower than retail? Because we supply in batches starting from 100 pairs, not single pairs. As the quantity rises, the unit price falls further.

Can you supply a YDS model not listed here? Yes. Send us the model code and we will come back with current availability and price.

Some of our staff pass through metal detectors — what do you recommend? The Policap toe (PL / PLSP) models. They use a composite toe cap and a non-metal midsole and do not trigger the detector.

Which one for our foundry and welding shop? Not a standard S3; the foundry model with quick-release fastening (HM range) should be discussed.

Can we buy shoes and uniforms together? Yes, that is the most common way of ordering. We produce the uniform at our own facility and supply the shoes; one quote, one shipment.

Do you ship abroad? Yes, we ship within Türkiye and abroad.
