Belts, Braces and Knee Pads

Mars Wear prepares accessories that complete your work trousers from a minimum of 100 pieces; standard lead time is 15 working days, and we ship within Türkiye and abroad. We make in-pocket knee pads together with knee-pad-pocket work trousers at our own facility in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul. For belts and braces, the colour, buckle and logo are agreed with our own design team.

PRODUCTS

Work belt — a corporate canvas trouser belt, with plastic clip, fabric-covered or flat, edge-free metal buckle options.

Trouser braces — canvas, partly elastic braces. They move the load of full-pocket work trousers from the waist to the shoulders.

Knee pads — foam pads that sit in the knee pocket of work trousers. For assembly, flooring, plumbing and maintenance teams who work kneeling.

BELT OR BRACES?

They do not do the same job and are often used together. A belt holds the trousers by tightening at the waist and works well with a light load. When the pockets are full, tightening the belt puts the load around the waist and causes discomfort over a long shift. Braces hang the trousers from the shoulders and leave the waist free; they make a clear difference for teams who carry heavy tools and bend and straighten all day. The simple rule: light pockets, a belt is enough; pockets always full, braces.

WHAT TO LOOK FOR IN TROUSER BRACES

Attachment — clip braces fit any trousers but can slip on heavy fabric. Button braces hold more securely but need buttons on the trousers, so in a corporate order they are planned together with the trousers.

Back style — an X back spreads the load evenly across both shoulders; a Y back is less bulky. For heavy use we recommend an X back.

Width and stretch — the heavier the load, the wider the braces should be; narrow braces mark the shoulders. Braces with no stretch restrict bending; partly elastic braces strike the right balance.

CHOOSING A BELT BUCKLE

A work belt is a trouser belt, not a tool carrier; hanging tools on a trouser belt deforms it. If your team carries tools all day, the right answer is to move the load to the shoulders with braces.

A metal buckle risks scratching glossy surfaces for technical service teams who work in customers' premises, such as white goods, furniture, glass and automotive. For these teams we recommend a plastic clip or fabric-covered buckle. A plastic buckle is also more practical day to day for staff who pass through metal detectors.

WHY KNEE PADS GO WITH THE TROUSERS

In-pocket knee pads only work with trousers that have knee pockets. If the pocket size and the pad are not planned together, the pad slips or does not fit. Strap-on knee pads are often taken off on site because they are uncomfortable; in-pocket pads stay inside the trousers, so they cannot be forgotten either. If the ground has sharp stones, rubble or nails, tell us before ordering; the thickness and construction of the pad are chosen for the ground.

Our design team prepares the colour and logo application as a digital visual and sends it for your approval before production.
