Product description
What Is the YDS GPP 05?
The most sought-after model in YDS's summer range. A light safety shoe with a suede upper and hook-and-loop fastening, designed for teams who stand all day in the hot season.
As one of the brands we are an authorised dealer for, we supply organisations in bulk from 100 pairs.

Who Is It the Right Model For?
There are three concrete reasons to choose the GPP 05:
- Less sweating in the heat. The suede upper and open construction let noticeably more air through than a closed leather model. For teams working in closed shoes from May to September, the difference is felt at the end of the day.
- Quick on and off. Hook-and-loop fastening removes the need to untie laces when moving into clean areas and during breaks.
- No risk of laces catching. Near rotating machinery, conveyors and stairs, a trailing lace is a real hazard.
Which Environments Is It Not Suitable For?
Saying this at the outset is better than sending it to the wrong team and taking returns:
- Wet and muddy ground. Suede absorbs water and hardens as it dries. Wet environments need S2 or S3.
- Oily and chemical environments. A suede surface holds stains and is practically impossible to clean.
- Sites with a puncture risk. If there are nails, wire or metal swarf, a penetration-resistant model (coded P / PL / PS) is needed.
- Welding and foundries. The open lace/fastening area is a channel for sparks; a welder's model with a flap is needed.
If one of these environments applies to you, look at the UL 100 S3 or PL 170 Policap models on the YDS page.
The Limits of Hook-and-Loop Fastening
Hook-and-loop does not give as precise a fit adjustment as laces. For staff with very narrow or very wide feet, a laced model fits better. If your team includes such people, we plan a mixed order.
Dust and fibres building up on the hook-and-loop strip also weaken its grip over time — the care section covers the solution.
A Reminder of Safety Classes
- S1 — toe protection (200 J) + antistatic + heel energy absorption + closed heel
- S1P / S1PL / S1PS — S1 + penetration resistance (metal / non-metal / tested with a 3.0 mm thin nail)
- S2 — S1 + water absorption resistance of the upper
- S3 — S1P + water resistance + cleated outsole
The GPP 05 is a summer model; before ordering we confirm together the class you need.
Sizing in Bulk Orders
- Before ordering, we collect the team's shoe sizes through a form.
- Size range 35–48; larger on request.
- A hook-and-loop model has less volume tolerance than a laced one — for staff who are unsure, we recommend a sample pair.
- A mixed size breakdown is covered in a single batch.

Ordering and Care
Our minimum order is 100 pairs; genuine products, invoiced supply, shipping within Türkiye and abroad.
- Do not use water or detergent on suede; use a suede brush and suede spray.
- Do not dry wet suede next to a heat source; the upper hardens.
- Periodically clean dust and fibres off the hook-and-loop strip — its grip depends on it.
- Clear stones and gravel stuck in the sole profile; they directly reduce slip resistance.
Frequently Asked Questions
What class is the GPP 05? Class variants can vary within the summer range. Before ordering, we confirm the class you need (S1 / S1P) and come back after verifying the exact variant in stock.
Can it be used on a construction site? We do not recommend it. A suede summer construction is not suitable for mud, water and puncture risk; construction sites need S3.
Is there a laced version? YDS's summer range also includes laced options. If your team includes staff with feet at either extreme of volume, we plan a mixed order.
Is there a women's last? The size range covers female staff; we recommend a sample fitting to check the fit.
What is your minimum order? 100 pairs.
