Product description

Demir: A Wide Range in the Economy Band

Demir (Demir Kundura / Demir Safety) is a Turkish safety footwear manufacturer. It sits in one of the most economical bands on the market — retail prices start from TRY 559, and the main band of steel toe models is TRY 866–1,490.

We supply your corporate orders from 100 pairs, collect the size breakdown on your behalf and ship to multiple sites.

Price Band

  • Entry models — retail from TRY 559 · from TRY 420 per pair for 100 pairs
  • Main steel toe band — retail TRY 866–1,490 · TRY 650–1,120 per pair for 100 pairs

Retail prices are indications based on market research and may change. We do not publish Demir's model-by-model list prices — the brand prices its models through its dealer channel, and there are significant differences within the band. Send us the model code and we will come back in writing with current availability and a net price.

Product Range

Demir's catalogue is wider than you would expect for the economy band:

  • 1208 S1 — sandal style, steel toe cap. Summer, indoors, light work.
  • 1202 S3 — steel toe cap + steel midsole, waterproof leather upper. Outdoors and wet floors.
  • S2 WRU models — a water-resistant upper; for wet environments with no puncture risk.
  • S1P with a Kevlar® penetration plate — an aramid plate instead of metal; light and does not trigger metal detectors.
  • Electrician's / ESD models — for teams that need insulation or static discharge.
  • Welder's models with a flap — a flap construction that covers the lacing area against sparks.

What Does a Kevlar® Penetration Plate Change?

Models that provide penetration resistance with an aramid (Kevlar®) plate rather than a metal midsole bring three practical differences:

  • Lighter — the total load drops for teams who walk all day.
  • Does not trigger metal detectors — airports, security-controlled facilities, some production areas.
  • Does not draw heat in the cold — it does not chill the sole the way a metal midsole does.

A non-metal midsole also covers a wider area of the sole; it has an advantage against thin objects that can slip past the edge of a metal plate. The 2022 revision of the standard codified this: P metal (4.5 mm nail test), PL non-metal (4.5 mm), PS non-metal (thinner 3.0 mm nail). If the risk from thin wire dominates, look for PS.

Which Teams Does Demir Suit?

  • Budget-limited first supply — protection is mandatory but the budget is limited
  • Teams with high staff turnover — seasonal workers, temporary teams, subcontractors
  • Visitor and guest stock — contractors, inspectors and interns entering the facility
  • Facilities with large workforces — orders of 500+ people where the unit price decides the total cost

If comfort over long shifts and sole life come first, we recommend looking at the upper segments — such as the Mekap DMK range or the Gripper GPR-34/55 models, which give the same protection for longer. Replacing cheap shoes twice a year can cost more than buying expensive ones once; we work out the numbers with you based on how heavily your team uses them.

Safety Classes

  • S1 — toe protection (200 J) + antistatic + heel energy absorption + closed heel
  • S1P — S1 + penetration resistance, metal midsole (P, tested with a 4.5 mm nail)
  • S1PL / S1PS — S1 + penetration resistance, non-metal midsole (PL 4.5 mm, PS 3.0 mm)
  • S2 — S1 + water absorption resistance of the upper (WRU)
  • S3 — S1P + water resistance + cleated outsole

Sizing in Bulk Orders

  • Before ordering, we collect the team's shoe sizes through a form.
  • Size range 35–48; larger on request.
  • For staff who are unsure, we send a sample pair first.
  • A mixed size breakdown is covered in a single batch.

Frequently Ordered Together

One quote and one shipment with uniform pieces we produce at our own facility:

For other economical options, see Pars and Bimes; for all brands, see the safety shoes, boots and wellingtons category.

Ordering and Care

Our minimum order is 100 pairs; genuine products, invoiced supply, shipping within Türkiye and abroad.

  • Do not machine wash leather models; wipe with a damp cloth and apply a care cream.
  • Take out the insole periodically to air it.
  • Clear stones and gravel stuck in the sole profile.
  • In the economy band, check the join between sole and upper regularly; if it has started to separate, the shoe has lost its function.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why aren't model prices listed? Demir prices its models through its dealer channel, and there are significant differences within the band. We do not publish figures we cannot verify; send us the model code and we will come back in writing with a net price.

Is there real protection at this price? Yes. Toe protection is the standard's mandatory threshold — 200 J impact, the same in the economy band. The difference is in comfort, sole life and water resistance.

Why choose a model with a Kevlar® plate? Compared with a metal midsole it is lighter, does not trigger metal detectors and does not chill the sole in the cold.

Is there a welder's model? Yes, models with a flap are available. We explain in detail why a flap is essential for welding and foundry teams on our Mekap welder's safety shoes page.

Can they be used on a construction site? The S3 models (for example the 1202) are suitable for construction sites. The S1 sandal-style models are not — they are for dry indoor areas.

What is your minimum order? 100 pairs.
