What Is a Security Jacket?

A security jacket — also known in the sector as a security coat or guard's jacket — is winter outerwear that allows private security staff to work through the winter months while keeping the uniform consistent. It differs from a general winter work jacket in three ways: a dark corporate colour in line with uniform principles, a reflective layout that gives visibility on night duty, and a pocket layout that carries duty equipment such as a radio, pen and paperwork.

Private security staff represent an authority defined by law while on duty. So the jacket is not just a garment that keeps them warm; it is also an element of recognisability: the "GÜVENLİK" (security) lettering on the back and the company logo on the left chest let staff be identified from a distance.

Law No. 5188 and Uniform Principles

In Türkiye, the clothing of private security staff is governed by Law No. 5188 on Private Security Services and the related uniform regulation. In practice, two basic principles stand out:

• Not to be confused with law enforcement: The uniform must not resemble the colours and arrangement of police, gendarmerie and military clothing.
• Recognisability: It must be clear from the lettering and markings that the wearer is a private security officer.

We produce the jacket to comply with these principles — with dark corporate shades, "GÜVENLİK" lettering on the back and the company logo on the left chest. Final approval is always subject to permission from the relevant governorship / provincial police directorate; before putting a custom design into production, we recommend sharing your approved clothing arrangement with us.

Colour and Reflective Layout

Standard production is in black, navy and anthracite. Black is the most common choice; it gives a corporate stance in shopping centre, residential estate and corporate facility security. Navy is preferred by hospital and public facility security teams, and anthracite by companies looking for a more modern look.

Reflective tape is applied as standard in a sleeve circumference + horizontal back layout. For teams mainly working in open car parks, on patrol and on night shifts, we add a chest band to increase visibility. If your corporate colour is different, we plan a layout that does not conflict with uniform principles with our own design team and present it for your approval before production.

Logo, Back Lettering and Custom Design

The established practice on a security jacket is the company logo on the left chest and the duty lettering on the back:

• Left chest: Company logo — embroidery (long-lasting, corporate) or transfer print
• Back: "GÜVENLİK" or "ÖZEL GÜVENLİK" lettering — a reflective application increases night-time visibility
• Sleeve: Company crest or location/project code
• Back of the collar: Size or staff code

The jacket is cut a little more generously than standard so that a fleece or sweatshirt can be worn underneath. It is produced in XS–5XL, in men's and women's patterns; we make special sizes for staff who need larger sizes. Quantity, Pricing and Lead Time

We do not sell the security jacket from stock; we produce every order for your organisation.

1. You send us your requirements: quantity, colour, reflective layout, pocket layout, size breakdown and logo/back lettering details.
2. If you have an approved clothing arrangement, you share it; our design team prepares a mock-up to match.
3. If you wish, we make a physical sample before production.
4. After approval, production starts at our own facility — 15 working days.
5. Shipping is within Türkiye and abroad, with an option to deliver to multiple sites.

Care

The jacket should be washed on a 30 °C gentle cycle. To keep the reflective tape bright, no fabric softener or bleach should be used, and it should not be washed at high temperatures.
