Staff Clothing: A Guide to Branded Workwear by Sector

What Is Staff Clothing?

In short: Staff clothing is the shared workwear an organisation gives its employees, carrying the company's colours and logo. The right choice starts with what the sector needs: durability and safety in a factory, visibility in logistics, a corporate look in hotels and shops. Mars Wear manufactures staff clothing at its own production facility in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul, with its own design team, in your colours and with your logo, from a minimum of 100 pieces; standard lead time is 15 working days, and we ship within Türkiye and abroad.

Staff clothing does three jobs at once: it sets the first impression in front of customers, builds a sense of belonging in the team and provides the protection the work requires. That is why, instead of one "standard uniform" for everyone, you need a kit chosen for what each team actually does.

Staff Clothing by Sector

The kits below are a starting point for the teams we work with most often. In every kit the colour, fabric, pocket layout and logo are made to suit your organisation.

Factory and production staff

For teams working at machines, the priorities are durability and nothing that can catch. A long-sleeved boiler suit, or gabardine work trousers with a crew neck work T-shirt, is the core kit; in winter a crew neck sweatshirt and a fleece gilet are added. No hoods, loose scarves or dangling accessories at machines. All products: factory and production workwear.

Logistics and warehouse staff

Where forklifts and vehicles move, visibility is essential. A hi-vis vest, cargo work trousers and a polo work shirt are the core kit; for cold loading bays and dispatch, a branded padded gilet and thermal base layers are added. All products: logistics and warehouse workwear.

Construction and site teams

On site you need reflective tape, durable fabric and layers for the weather. The waterproof reflective work jacket, the engineer's vest and reflective work trousers are the most popular pieces; teams who wear hard hats get a hard hat liner instead of a thick beanie. All products: construction and site workwear.

Private security staff

In Türkiye, private security uniforms are subject to the colour and design rules of Law 5188. The new-style security jacket and security trousers are made for these teams; the rules are explained in our Law 5188 uniform guide. All products: private security uniforms.

Hotels, restaurants and cafés

For staff who work face to face with guests, a corporate look and durability through frequent washing matter most. The polo work shirt is made in 100% cotton piqué, the mandarin collar work T-shirt in piqué or single jersey. For service and kitchen teams, see our guide to waiter and hotel staff uniforms.

Shops, supermarkets and retail

Shop floor and checkout staff need all-day comfort and one consistent look. The polo work shirt is the core piece; in air-conditioned stores a softshell gilet or fleece gilet is added in spring and autumn. Detailed guide: supermarket and retail staff uniforms; sector page: retail and stores.

Office and corporate teams

For reception, sales and administrative staff the aim is a simple, tidy look. The long-sleeved polo work shirt, the half-zip sweatshirt and the short-sleeved work shirt are the core pieces. Sector page: office and corporate wear.

Cleaning staff

For cleaning teams, fabric that stands up to frequent washing and a comfortable cut are what count; a kit of T-shirt, gabardine trousers and gilet is common. Detailed guide: cleaning staff uniforms.

Healthcare and hospital staff

In hospital support services (cleaning, technical service, security, cafeteria), mandarin collar work T-shirts and gabardine trousers are widely used. Detailed guide: healthcare and hospital staff uniforms.

Five Decisions When Choosing Staff Clothing

1. Season and layers

One kit does not last all year. Plan piqué or single jersey T-shirts and light gabardine trousers for summer, sweatshirts and gilets for spring and autumn, and jackets with thermal base layers for winter. Planning the seasonal changeover from the start keeps the team in the same look all year: summer and winter changeover plan.

2. Fabric and weight

On T-shirts, single jersey gives a smooth, soft surface that suits large back prints; piqué breathes through its open knit and looks corporate on a polo collar. For trousers, gabardine resists wear: 16/12 gabardine is light for summer, 7/7 gabardine is heavier for winter. Fabric weight is the fabric's weight per square metre and directly affects durability: workwear fabric weight guide.

3. Logo method

Embroidery is permanent and looks corporate; it is the most durable method on piqué, fleece and gabardine. Printing is preferred for large, multi-colour and finely detailed logos. Embroidery is not recommended on softshell and waterproof coated fabric, because the needle holes puncture the coating. Compare the methods: embroidery or print?

4. Sizes

Sizes run XS–5XL, with larger sizes made to order; women's and men's patterns are developed separately. Orders are placed with a mixed size breakdown; you can use our workwear size chart to collect it.

5. Budget and quantity

Prices on product pages are average unit prices for 100 pieces, excluding VAT; the unit price falls as the quantity rises. The exact price is set in the quote according to the logo method, fabric and quantity: workwear prices and cost guide.

How Does an Order Work?

  1. Request: send us the products, quantities and your team through the quote form or on WhatsApp.
  2. Design: our design team prepares the model, colour and logo placement as a digital visual and sends it for your approval.
  3. Production: made at our own facility in Zeytinburnu, Istanbul; standard lead time is 15 working days.
  4. Shipping: we ship within Türkiye and abroad.

A few products, such as thermal base layers and the 5+1 work jacket, are sourced rather than manufactured; their product pages say so.
